On friday I was invited by Orillo Productions to photograph their open air cinema event, ‘The Tipi Experience’ in collaboration with Papakata. Orillo are a fantastic film company based in York, I was more than excited to join them for the day to see what they were up to.
The event was hosted in the scenic surrounds of York museum gardens. Giant Papakata tipis looked stunning against the backdrop of the ruins. The weather also played a massive part in the event, with the sun showing up just for the evening. Live music, Fat Boy bean bags, champagne and the smell of hot dogs invited people into the cinema. The Orillo cinema really came alive as the sun set over York and Slum dog Millionaire began. Continue reading
