Christmas Mini Shoots

I’m super excited to announce that I will be running mini Christmas portrait sessions on the 3rd and 4th of December ( NEXT WEEKEND!). If you are struggling for christmas gift ideas why not book a mini portrait shoot with me at Crab Tree Farm Christmas Trees in Lupton. It will be a 30 minute relaxed, playful shoot in and around the Christmas trees and farm buildings.

CHRISTMAS MINI’S INFO

What? 30 minutes outdoor portrait shoot amongst the Christmas trees.

Where? Crabtree Farm Christmas Trees, Lupton LA6 1PJ.

When? Sessions available between 10 am and 2.30 pm on Saturday the 3rd and Sunday 4th of December. Booking is essential.

How much? The session fee is £40 which includes 5 digital files with print release.

What to wear? Wear clothes that you are comfortable and relaxed in, this will make for great photographs. Remember this is a working farm so come in sensible footwear!

I have been busy meeting lots of my 2016 couples for mini pre wedding shoots recently. I wanted to share this particular one with you. . . .

Rachel & Thomas met me at the Deer Park near Milnthorpe a few weeks back. We knew the weather looked pretty miserable (actually this was one of the wettest pre wedding shoots I’ve done in a while!). But Rachel & Thomas didn’t mind, so we grabbed our wellies and went for a wander. These guys were so much fun, this shoot reminded me that whatever the weather, it is the people that make the photographs!

Amy and Bump – Maternity Shoot

Amy contacted me a few weeks ago to see if we could do a couple of ‘bump’ photographs before the imminent arrival of their baby girl. We headed to Ruskin’s View, Kirkby Lonsdale, the same place where I shot their Wedding photographs two years before. It was heavy rain on the day that we arrange this but I’m so glad we didn’t postpone as baby Tessa arrived just hours after this shoot! Continue reading

Moo and me Always and ForHeifer

From the moment Rebecca told me she was arriving at the church on the back of her favourite horse (Jimbo), I knew I would love this wedding. It was a warm, sunny day in July when Richard and Rebecca tied the knot at Tunstall Church, Lancashire. They then transported all their guests to a marque on the top of a hill, overlooking Richard’s family farm near Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria.

Well what can I say. . . 2015 has been a pretty epic year for me. Weddings, Press and Commercial projects, they all made for an exciting, albeit chaotic year. I have had the pleasure of photographing in some beautiful venues across Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire and beyond. Meeting some lovely couples and families along the way. I passed my NQJ in Photojournalism with distinction and was nominated for O2 North West Images of the year award.

I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone I have met and photographed over the past year.

Sarah & James Wedding at Saltmarshe Hall

James and Sarah’s Alice in wonderland themed wedding took place in April at the very beautiful Saltmarshe Hall, Yorkshire. They both run a film company in York so I was super excited to see what creative ideas they had for their big day. The hall was bustling with activity when I arrived, Sarah & James were getting ready at different ends of the large country house. This meant I could run in between rooms for sneaky photographs during the morning preparations. Sarah wore a beautiful Phil Collins Bridal dress her flowers were from Fulford Flowers in York and makeup was done by Kristen Spitty. Even their loveable dog Pippin had his own professional haircut for the Wedding! Continue reading

Hattie & Dan’s pre wedding shoot, Kirkby Lonsdale

Some weeks ago I met Hattie & Dan at Devils Bridge in Kirkby Lonsdale for a mini pre wedding shoot. I first met Dan a three years ago when I photographed his sisters wedding. It was the middle of October, I had him balanced on a chair in the garden holding the wedding dress so I could get a good shot of it!. . . I think he’s forgiven me. Super excited about their wedding in the next few weeks.

Kiri & Kevin’s Wedding at The Merewood Hotel

Kiri & Kev’s Wedding Weekend extravaganza took place last November. They hired The Merewood Hotel in Windermere for a whole weekend and invited me along to join the celebrations. After their 3 o’clock ceremony they went for a private drive in a beautiful Rolls Royce before arriving back at the hotel for a five course meal with their nearest and dearest.

The next day I woke greeted by beautiful November light so we headed down to the shores of Windermere for some portraits as more family and friends arrived at the hotel for afternoon tea and opera singing. It really was a very personal, family orientated wedding and I was honoured to be a part of it all. Continue reading

Rachael & Andrew’s Wedding at The Wild Boar, Crook.

Rachael and Andrew’s wedding took place in Kirkby Lonsdale at St. Joseph’s Church then on to The Wild Boar at Crook near Windermere. It was a real family affair, Andrew’s mother made the cake, his father married them in church and the flowers were made by a family friend. Rachel wore a Benjamin Roberts dress that was perfectly complimented with a pearl head piece which looked stunning. Once at the Wild Boar the staff drove us in their Land Rover into the surrounding woodland for some portraits of the Rachael and Andrew. These guys were an absolute pleasure to photograph.
